Through Women Who Care, women across Hall County come together to learn about local needs, support local nonprofits, and make a meaningful collective impact. At each meeting, members learn from each other about nonprofit organizations and the work they are doing in our community before selecting one organization to receive the group's collective grant.

Since its inaugural meeting in May 2026, Women Who Care has awarded grants to local organizations working to make Hall County a Stronger place for everyone.

Hall County Historical Society

$15,300 Grant

At Women Who Care's inaugural meeting, members selected the Hall County Historical Society to receive a $15,300 grant.

"Since 1857, Hall County has been the home of many remarkable women who made an impact on our community and beyond. This week marks the beginning of a new chapter in our community history with the founding of Women Who Care-Hall County. Following in the footsteps of generations of Hall County women who sought to make a positive impact on their community, this new group of civic-minded leaders has united to strengthen our community and inspire meaningful change through philanthropy. The Hall County Historical Society is honored to be the first nonprofit chosen to receive their support, helping advance our mission of historic research, education, and preservation throughout Hall County."

STICK CREEK KIDS

August 10, 2026

$17,500 Grant*

At the second Women Who Care meeting, members selected Stick Creek Kids to receive a preliminary grant of $17,500.

The funding will support Stick Creek Kids' work to strengthen its facility and invest in its staff, including additional training and suppleis, while creating more opportunities for the children and families it serves.

“Sharing Stick Creek Kids’ story with Women Who Care – Hall County was such a rewarding and humbling experience. To talk about why our work matters and to share the heart and soul behind our mission was an opportunity I will cherish for a long time,” Dreessen said. “Seeing the women rally around Stick Creek Kids and believe in all we are working to accomplish was encouraging. The women’s generosity and enthusiasm reminded me that we are not doing this important work alone, and that our Hall County community cares about the future of its children.”
