We are proud to share the recipients of our Third Quarter 2025 Greater Impact Grants, awarding $32,000 to local nonprofits. With this round of funding, we have invested more than $70,000 in Hall County so far this year through the Greater Impact Grants program. 

The Greater Impact Grant Program supports unmet charitable needs and unique programming opportunities that address essential and emerging issues in the community. Powered by field of interest funds established by impassioned donors and GGICF, each fund supports a specific area, such as arts, education, or health, while allowing us to respond flexibly to evolving community needs and opportunities.

Third Quarter 2025 Grant Recipients 

Nebraska Children’s Home Society – Grand Island Peer Support Groups 
This grant will pilot new peer support groups within NCHS’s Pregnancy and Parenting Services, Families Forever, and Kinship Navigation programs. These family-centered gatherings provide opportunities for parents and children to build community, practice parenting skills, and create lasting memories. 

Choice Family Health Care – ST Education and Outreach Program 
Funding strengthens Choice Family’s STD Education and Outreach program, which provides risk reduction, testing, and essential service connections. These confidential, affordable services are vital to community health, especially as federal funding has declined. 

Willow Rising – Essentials for Empowerment 
This initiative ensures survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking have access to food, clothing, hygiene items, and other necessities. The grant will help restock supplies lost in a recent building fire, ensuring survivors continue to receive stability and care. 

Crossroads Mission Avenue – Grand Island Location Supplies 
Support will help provide essential cleaning products to maintain a safe, healthy, and sanitary environment for residents receiving shelter, meals, and support at Crossroads Mission Avenue. We appreciate the contribution from a DAF holder who helped us award this request in full. 

Hall County Historical Society, Inc. – Abbott Sisters Historical Marker 
A Nebraska Historical Marker will be installed at the Grand Island Public Library honoring Grace and Edith Abbott, Grand Island natives and national leaders in social work and advocacy for women, children, and immigrants. 

Nebraska State Historical Society – I-80 Sculpture National Register of Historic Places Nomination 
Funding supports the nomination of the Nebraska Interstate 80 Bicentennial Sculptures for inclusion on the National Register of Historic Places. The sculptures will celebrate their 50th anniversary in 2026, aligning with America’s 250th birthday.
