All Aboard for Stolley Park – Campaign Success!
Thanks to strong donor support, the All Aboard for Stolley Park campaign has surpassed its goal! The beloved train ride will receive much-needed upgrades, preserving a favorite pastime for future generations. For more information, click here!

Friends of GI Parks – New Pavilion Completed
A brand-new pavilion is now open to the public, thanks to the Friends of GI Parks and the Hornady Family. Located in one of Grand Island’s most loved park spaces, the pavilion offers shade, event space, and a new gathering place for families, friends, and community groups. Baseball Fields at Ryder Park – Renovation Campaign
A community-driven fundraising campaign to renovate the aging ballfields at Ryder Park is gaining momentum. This is the first renovation of the field since it was built more than 50 years ago. The vision includes adding much-needed turf and updates to the facilities —making these fields state-of-the-art and ensuring that athletes of all ages have a safe and welcoming place to play. HEAR GI – Free Concerts Every Weekend
It’s summer, and live music is filling the air downtown Friday nights thanks to HEAR GI! This free-to-the-public concert series brings together neighbors, families, and friends to enjoy top-notch entertainment under the stars. To learn more, click here!

EPIC Discovery Center – Big Progress, but help is still needed!
Construction is underway on the EPIC Discovery Center, a STEAM-based youth museum that will spark curiosity and creativity in children of all ages. This space will be a welcoming hub for hands-on learning and play when it opens its doors in the Spring of 2026.
While construction at the old armory building is nearly done, the capital campaign is not. EPIC has received two generous challenge grants—but to unlock those funds, they must meet their capital fundraising goal by the end of this year. For more information, click here!

Railside Sculpture Walk – Art for Everyone
The Railside Sculpture Walk has turned downtown into a walkable outdoor gallery. Featuring rotating public art installations, the exhibit draws attention to local creativity and adds energy and intrigue to the heart of the city. For more information, click here!
